حَدَّثنا محمد بن عبد الرحيم حَدَّثنا سريج بن يُونُس حَدَّثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَر حَدَّثنا أَبِي عَنْ حُمَيد عَن أَنَس أَنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لأَبِي أَيُّوبَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى تِجَارَةٍ قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ تَسْعَى فِي صُلْحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ إِذَا تَفَاسَدُوا وَتُقَارِبُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِذَا تَبَاعَدُواوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ يُرْوَى عَن أَنَس إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ولاَ نعلمُ حَدَّثَ بِهِ عَنْ حُمَيد إلاَّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَر ولاَ حَدَّثَ بِهِ عَنْهُ إلاَّ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنُهُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ لَيِّنُ الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ حَدَّثَ بِأَحَادِيثَ لَمْ يتابع عليها اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لأَبِي أَيُّوبَ أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى تِجَارَةٍ قَالَ بَلَى قَالَ تَسْعَى فِي صُلْحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ إِذَا تَفَاسَدُوا وَتُقَارِبُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِذَا تَبَاعَدُواوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ يُرْوَى عَن أَنَس إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ولاَ نعلمُ حَدَّثَ بِهِ عَنْ حُمَيد إلاَّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَر ولاَ حَدَّثَ بِهِ عَنْهُ إلاَّ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنُهُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ لَيِّنُ الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ حَدَّثَ بِأَحَادِيثَ لَمْ يتابع عليها

Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahim narrated to us, Surayj ibn Yunus narrated to us, Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abdullah ibn Umar narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Humayd, from Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to Hadrat Abu Ayyub (may Allah be well pleased with him): «Shall I not guide you to a trade?» He said: "Yes." He said: «Strive to make peace between people when they are at odds, and bring them close when they are distant.» This hadith is not known to be narrated from Anas except from this chain, and we do not know it to have been narrated from Humayd except by Abdullah ibn Umar, nor from him except by his son Abd ar-Rahman. Abd ar-Rahman is weak in hadith and has narrated hadiths for which he has not been corroborated.
