حَدَّثنا محمد بن معاوية حَدَّثنا خلف بن خليفة حَدَّثنا حَفْصٌ عَن أَنَس أَنَّه كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ قَائِمًا يُصَلِّي فَلَمَّا قَضَى الرَّجُلُ الصَّلاةَ وَجَلَسَ تَشَهَّدَ وَدَعَا فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدَ لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ الْمَنَّانُ يَا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَدْرُونَ بِمَا دَعَا قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ لَقَدْ دَعَا بِاسْمِهِ الْعَظِيمِ الَّذِي إِذَا دُعِيَ بِهِ أَجَابَ وَإِذَا سُئِلَ بِهِ أَعْطَى عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ قَائِمًا يُصَلِّي فَلَمَّا قَضَى الرَّجُلُ الصَّلاةَ وَجَلَسَ تَشَهَّدَ وَدَعَا فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدَ لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ أَنْتَ الْمَنَّانُ يَا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَدْرُونَ بِمَا دَعَا قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ لَقَدْ دَعَا بِاسْمِهِ الْعَظِيمِ الَّذِي إِذَا دُعِيَ بِهِ أَجَابَ وَإِذَا سُئِلَ بِهِ أَعْطَى
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Mu'awiyah narrated to us: Khalaf ibn Khalifah narrated to us: Hafs narrated to us from Anas that he was with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and he passed by a man standing in prayer. When the man finished the prayer and sat down for the tashahhud, he supplicated saying: O Allah, I ask You by virtue of the fact that all praise belongs to You, there is no god but You, the Bestower of Favors, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Do you know by what he supplicated?» They said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: «He supplicated by His Greatest Name, which when He is called by it, He answers, and when He is asked by it, He gives.»
