حَدَّثَنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثنا عَبد الأعلى حَدَّثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانٍ عَن مُحَمد بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَن يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ أَبِي غَلابٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَر عَن رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَقَالَ هَلْ تَعْرِفُ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَر فَإِنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فأتي عم النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يراجعها قلت أتعتدت قال فمه أرأيت إن عجز واستحمق اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَر فَإِنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فأتي عم النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يراجعها قلت أتعتدت قال فمه أرأيت إن عجز واستحمق

Amr ibn Ali narrated to us, Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Hisham ibn Hassan narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Sirin from Yunus ibn Jubayr Abu Ghalab who said: I asked Ibn Umar about a man who divorced his wife while she was menstruating. He said: Do you know Abdullah ibn Umar? He divorced his wife while she was menstruating, and (his father) Umar came to the Prophet ﷺ, who ordered him to take her back. I said: Was it counted (as a divorce)? He said: What then? Do you think if he was incapable and foolish (it would not count)?
