Amr ibn Ali narrated to us saying: Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh narrated to us saying: Ibn Awn narrated to us from Nafi from Ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «A woman was punished because of a cat. She imprisoned it until it died. She entered the Fire because of it. She neither fed it nor gave it water when she imprisoned it, nor did she set it free so that it could eat from the vermin of the earth.»
