Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) narrated that a man came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and stated: 'O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died - will it benefit her if I give charity on her behalf?' He stated: «Yes.» The man said: 'I have a garden, so I call you to witness that I have given it in charity on her behalf.' This hadith has been narrated from various chains from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and this is one of its chains.
