وحَدَّثنا أحمد بن عَبدة قال أَخْبَرَنَا سُفيان عَن عَمْرو بْنِ دِينار عَن عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا إِنَّمَا رَمَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لِيُرِيَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قُوَّتَهُوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ فَذَكَرْنَاهُ فِي هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ لِحُسْنِ إِسْنَادِهِ وَلِعِزَّةِ طريقه
الترجمة الإنجليزية
And Ahmad ibn Abdah narrated to us, he said: Sufyan informed us, from Amr ibn Dinar, from Ata, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) only performed ramal [brisk walking during tawaf] to show the polytheists his strength. This hadith has been narrated from Ibn Abbas from more than one route. We mentioned it in this place with this chain because of the excellence of its chain and the rarity of its route.
