حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ نَا أَبُو يَعْلَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ قَالَ نَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ نَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ نِيَارٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَضْرِبُوا فَوْقَ عَشْرِ جَلَدَاتٍ إِلَّا فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَضْرِبُوا فَوْقَ عَشْرِ جَلَدَاتٍ إِلَّا فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ

'Umar ibn al-Khattab narrated to us, he said: Abu Ya'la Muhammad ibn al-Salt narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Hazim narrated to us, he said: Usamah ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Ashajj, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir, from his father, from Abu Burdah ibn Niyar, may Allah be well pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, said: "Do not administer more than ten lashes except in a prescribed punishment from the punishments of Allah."
