حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ قَالَ نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ نَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كُلُّ مَيِّتٍ يُخْتَمُ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ إِلَّا الْمُرَابِطَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُنْمَى لَهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيُؤَمَّنُ مِنْ فَتَّانِ الْقَبْرِ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كُلُّ مَيِّتٍ يُخْتَمُ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ إِلَّا الْمُرَابِطَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُنْمَى لَهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيُؤَمَّنُ مِنْ فَتَّانِ الْقَبْرِ

Ibrahim ibn Hani' narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, he said: Abu Hani' informed me, from 'Amr ibn Malik, from Fadalah ibn 'Ubayd al-Ansari, may Allah be well pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, said: "Every deceased person has his deeds sealed, except the one guarding the frontier in the cause of Allah, for his deeds continue to grow for him until the Day of Resurrection, and he is protected from the trial of the grave."
