أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْجُبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُهُ عِنْدِي فِي كِتَابِي وَأَحْسِبُهُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى سُتْرَةٍ فَلْيَدْنُ مِنْهَا لَا يَقْطَعُ الشَّيْطَانُ عَلَيْهِ صَلَاتَهُ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا قَالَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ غَيْرَ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ وَلَا نَحْفَظُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ

Abdullah ibn Shabib narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Umar al-Jubayri narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Umayr narrated to us — this is how I found it in my book, and I believe it is Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Ubayd ibn Umayr — from Umayyah ibn Safwan from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im from his father (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'When one of you prays facing a sutrah (barrier), let him draw close to it so that Satan does not interrupt his prayer.' This hadith — we do not know of anyone who said 'from Muhammad ibn Jubayr from his father' other than Umayyah ibn Safwan, and we do not preserve it except through this chain.
