حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي طَرِيقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَأَحْمَدُ وَنَبِيُّ الرَّحْمَةِ وَالْحَاشِرُ وَالْمُقَفَّى وَنَبِيُّ الْمَلْحَمَةِ أَوِ الْمَلَاحِمِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ بِإِسْنَادٍ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

Al-Fadl ibn Sahl narrated to us, he said: al-Aswad ibn 'Amir informed us, he said: Abu Bakr ibn 'Ayyash informed us, he said: 'Asim informed us, from Abu Wa'il, from Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said: 'The thing I fear most for you is a man who reads the Qur'an until its beauty appears on him and he becomes a shield for Islam.'
