حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ مَا صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَحَدٍ أَخَفَّ مِنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تَمَامٍ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ مَالِكٍ الَّذِي رَوَاهُمَا الْقَاسِمُ لَا نَعْلَمُ حَدَّثَ بِهِمَا عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ غَيْرُهُ

Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'bah, from Sulayman, from Ibrahim, from 'Abidah, from 'Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said: 'The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.'
