حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ

Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us saying: Abd ar-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us saying: Sufyan narrated to us from az-Zuhri from Sa'id from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) announced the death of the Negus on the day he died, and he went out to the prayer place with them, lined them up in rows, and made four takbirat over him.
