أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ فِي كِتَابِ مَعْرِفَةِ الْحَدِيثِ أنبأ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نُهِينَا أَنْ نَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ شَيْءٍ وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُنَا أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَيَسْأَلَهُ وَنَحْنُ نَسْمَعُ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَتَانَا رَسُولُكَ فَزَعَمَ أَنَّكَ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ اللهَ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ صَدَقَ قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ قَالَ اللهُ قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ؟ قَالَ اللهُ قَالَ فَمَنْ نَصَبَ هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ؟ قَالَ اللهُ قَالَ فَمَنْ جَعَلَ فِيهَا هَذِهِ الْمَنَافِعَ؟ قَالَ اللهُ قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ وَالْأَرْضَ وَنَصَبَ الْجِبَالَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا هَذِهِ الْمَنَافِعَ آللَّهُ أَرْسَلَكَ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمِنَا وَلَيْلَتِنَا قَالَ صَدَقَ قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا صَدَقَةً فِي أَمْوَالِنَا قَالَ صَدَقَ قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا صَوْمَ شَهْرٍ فِي سَنَتِنَا قَالَ صَدَقَ قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا حَجَّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا قَالَ صَدَقَ قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَا أَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَلَا أَنْقُصُ مِنْهُنَّ فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ لَئِنْ صَدَقَ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Anas reported: 'We were prohibited from asking the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about anything. We liked it when a man from the desert people would come and ask him while we listened. A man from among them came and said: O Muhammad, your messenger came to us and claimed that you claim that Allah sent you. He said: He spoke the truth. He said: Who created the sky? He said: Allah. He said: Who created the earth? He said: Allah. He said: Who set up these mountains? He said: Allah. He said: Who placed in them these benefits? He said: Allah. He said: By the One who created the sky, the earth, set up the mountains, and placed these benefits in them — did Allah send you? He said: Yes. He said: Your messenger claimed that we owe five prayers in our day and night. He said: He spoke the truth. He said: By the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this? He said: Yes. He said: Your messenger claimed that we owe charity from our wealth. He said: He spoke the truth. He said: By the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this? He said: Yes. He said: Your messenger claimed that we owe the fasting of a month in our year. He said: He spoke the truth. He said: By the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this? He said: Yes. He said: Your messenger claimed that we owe the Hajj to the House for whoever is able to find a way. He said: He spoke the truth. He said: By the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this? He said: Yes. He said: By the One who sent you with the truth, I will not add to them nor diminish from them. When he left, the Prophet said: If he has spoken the truth, he will enter Paradise.'
