أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ وَكَانَ جَدُّهُ أَتَى بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ فَقَالَ لَا تَكْتَحِلْ بِالنَّهَارِ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ اكْتَحِلْ لَيْلًا الْإِثْمِدُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ هُوَ ابْنُ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ هَوْذَةَ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ وَمَعْبَدُ بْنُ هَوْذَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ هُوَ الَّذِي لَهُ هَذِهِ الصُّحْبَةُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated through 'Abd al-Rahman Abu al-Nu'man al-Ansari from his father from his grandfather — whose grandfather the Prophet (peace be upon him) had brought and wiped his head — who said: 'Do not apply kohl during the day while you are fasting. Apply kohl at night. Ithmid clears the sight and makes the hair grow.' The Shaykh said: 'Abd al-Rahman is Ibn al-Nu'man ibn Ma'bad ibn Hawdha Abu al-Nu'man, and Ma'bad ibn Hawdha al-Ansari is the one who has this companionship.
