أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمُحَمَّدَ آبَاذِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ مَعَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ بِالْكُوفَةِ فَرَأَى عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ النَّاسَ قِيَامًا يَنْتَظِرُونَ الْجِنَازَةَ أَنْ تُوضَعَ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِدِرَّةٍ مَعَهُ أَوْ سَوْطٍ أَنِ اجْلِسُوا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺقَدْ جَلَسَ بَعْدَ مَا كَانَ يَقُومُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught a supplication for the funeral prayer: 'O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, grant him well-being and pardon him. Make his entry spacious, and wash him with water, snow, and hail. Cleanse him of sins as a white garment is cleansed of filth. Give him a home better than his home, a family better than his family, and a spouse better than his spouse. Admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.'
