الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Bukhari narrated it in his Sahih from al-Qa'nabi, and Muslim narrated it from Yahya ibn Yahya. Umar saw a silk-striped garment being sold at the door of the mosque. He mentioned the hadith in similar meaning, until he said: 'You said about it what you said.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'I did not clothe you in it for you to wear it. I only clothed you in it so you could sell it or clothe someone else in it.' So Umar gave it to a polytheist brother of his from his mother's side in Makkah. Muslim included it in his Sahih from the hadith of Ubaydullah ibn Umar.
