أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكَعْبِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أنبأ مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مَعَ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَامَ يَبُولُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَهْ مَهْ فَقَالَ دَعُوهُ فَتَرَكُوهُ حَتَّى بَالَ ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ له إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْمَسَاجِدَ لَا تَصْلُحُ لِشَيْءٍ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَوْلِ وَلَا الْقَذَرِ إِنَّمَا هِيَ لِذِكْرِ اللهِ تَعَالَى وَالصَّلَاةِ وَقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَمَرَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ فَجَاءَ بِدَلْوٍ مِنَ مَاءٍ فَرَشَّهُ عَلَيْهِ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يُونُسَ

Anas ibn Malik said: While we were in the mosque with the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him), a Bedouin came and stood urinating in the mosque. The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, 'Stop! Stop!' The Prophet said, 'Leave him.' So they left him until he finished. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) called him and said, 'These mosques are not suitable for urine or filth. They are only for the remembrance of Allah the Exalted, prayer, and recitation of the Quran' - or as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said. Then he ordered a man from the people to bring a bucket of water and pour it over the spot. Muslim narrated it in his Sahih from Zuhayr ibn Harb from Umar ibn Yunus.
