الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us... from Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The example of the one who does not complete his prayer is like a pregnant woman who carried until her delivery was near, then she miscarried — so she is neither one with a pregnancy nor one with a child. And the example of the one who prays is like a merchant whose profit is not realized until his capital is secured. Likewise, the one who prays — his voluntary prayer is not accepted until he fulfills the obligatory one.' Its correctness depends on the correctness of the obligatory prayer, and the preceding reports are interpreted as referring to voluntary prayers outside the obligatory ones.
