Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn Ishaq al-Faqih informed us, Abu al-Muthanna and Abu Muslim informed us, they said: al-Qa'nabi narrated to us, Malik narrated to us from Abu al-Nadr, the freed slave of Umar ibn Ubaydullah, from Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman from Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: I used to sleep in front of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) with my feet in his prayer direction. When he prostrated, he would tap me, and I would draw up my feet. When he stood up, I would stretch them out again. She said: In those days, the houses did not have lamps.
