أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْإِمَامُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أنبأ أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ قَالَ رُمِيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ فِي أَكْحَلِهِ فَحَسَمَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ وَرِمَتْ فَحَسَمَهُ الثَّانِيَةَ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq informed me, Muhammad ibn Ayyub informed us, Ahmad ibn Yunus narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us. And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu al-Nadr al-Faqih informed me, Muhammad ibn Nasr al-Imam narrated to us, Yahya ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Khaythamah informed us from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: "Sa'd ibn Mu'adh was struck in his median vein, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) cauterized it with his own hand. Then it swelled, so he cauterized it a second time." This is the wording of Yahya's hadith.
