الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Sinan al-Qazzaz narrated to us, Abu Ali Ubaydullah ibn Abd al-Majid al-Hanafi narrated to us, Isma'il ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhajir narrated to us, he said: I heard my father narrating from Abdullah ibn Babah, from Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited the jallalah - that its meat be eaten, its milk be drunk, and that it not be used for carrying - I think he said: except for leather - and that people not ride it until it has been fed clean fodder for forty nights." This is not strong. Al-Shafi'i alluded to it and claimed that he intended its transformation from disliked characteristics to characteristics that are not disliked, which are the natural disposition of animals, so that the smell of filth cannot be detected in its perspiration and cud.
