أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أنبأ قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ؓ قَالَ جَاءَ عَبْدٌ فَبَايَعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ وَلَمْ يَشْعُرْ أَنَّهُ عَبْدٌ فَجَاءَ سَيِّدُهُ يُرِيدُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِعْنِيهِ فَاشْتَرَاهُ بِعَبْدَيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يُبَايِعْ أَحَدًا بَعْدُ حَتَّى يَسْأَلَهُ أَعَبْدٌ هُوَ؟
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A slave came and pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace be upon him) for emigration, and the Prophet did not realize he was a slave. When his master came to claim him, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Sell him to me. So he bought him for two black slaves, and after that he would not accept anyone's pledge until he asked whether he was a slave.
