الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Sa'id informed us from Abu al-Abbas, from al-Hasan, from Yahya, from Abd al-Salam ibn Harb, from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid, from Qays ibn Abi Hazim who said: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave Jarir and his people a quarter of al-Sawad. He held it for two or three years, then Jarir came as a delegation to Umar with Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him). Umar said to him: O Jarir, were it not that I am a distributor who will be held accountable, you would have kept what you had, but I think you should return it to the Muslims. So he returned it to them, and Umar gave him eighty dinars.
