أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ جَنَاحُ بْنُ نَذِيرِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ الْقَاضِي الْمُحَارِبِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ دُحَيْمٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا الْفَضْلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ دُكَيْنٍ ثنا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَدْرَكَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوَّلَ سَجْدَةٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَلْيُتِمَّ صَلَاتَهُ وَإِذَا أَدْرَكَ أَوَّلَ سَجْدَةٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ فَلْيُتِمَّ صَلَاتَهُ

Amr ibn Abasah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Pray Fajr, then stop praying until the sun has risen and is fully up, for it rises between the two horns of a devil, and the disbelievers prostrate to it at that time. Then pray, for the prayer is attended and witnessed until the shadow of the spear disappears (noon). Then stop, for that is when Hell is stoked. When the shadow moves (afternoon begins), pray, for the prayer is attended and witnessed, until you have prayed Asr. Then stop until the sun sets, for it sets between the two horns of a devil, and the disbelievers prostrate to it."
