أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي قَالَا ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَوْفِيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ثنا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ سَالِمٌ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ كُلُّ أُمَّتِي مُعَافًى إِلَّا الْمُجَاهِرِينَ وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْإِجْهَارِ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ الرَّجُلُ فِي اللَّيْلِ عَمَلًا ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُ وَقَدْ سَتَرَهُ رَبُّهُ فَيَقُولُ يَا فُلَانُ عَمِلْتُ الْبَارِحَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَقَدْ بَاتَ يَسْتُرُهُ رَبُّهُ يَبِيتُ فِي سِتْرِ رَبِّهِ وَيُصْبِحُ يَكْشِفُ سِتْرَ اللهِ عَنْهُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "All of my ummah will be pardoned except those who publicize their sins. It is a form of publicizing that a man commits a sin at night and Allah covers him, then in the morning he says: 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such last night,' while Allah had covered him throughout the night — he spends the night under Allah's cover and in the morning strips away Allah's cover from himself."
