قَالَ وَنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ نَافِعًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْحَمَّامِ لِلنِّسَاءِ قَالَ لَسْنَا نَرَاهُ حَرَامًا وَلَكِنَّنَا نَنْهَى نِسَاءَنَا عَنْهُ 14810 قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُ بُكَيْرًا عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لَسْنَا نَرَاهُ حَرَامًا وَأَنْ يَسْتَعْفِفْنَ خَيْرٌ لَهُنَّ وَرُوِّينَا عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ أَنَّهُ قَالَ نِعْمَ الْبَيْتُ الْحَمَّامُ يُذْهِبُ الْوَسَخَ وَيُذَكِّرُ النَّارَ نِعْمَ الْبَيْتُ الْحَمَّامُ يُذْهِبُ الْوَسَخَ وَيُذَكِّرُ النَّارَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah ibn Sulayman asked Nafi', the freed slave of Ibn Umar, about the bathhouse for women. He said: 'We do not consider it forbidden, but we prohibit our women from it.' Abdullah ibn Sulayman then asked Bukayr about it, and he said: 'We do not consider it forbidden, but for them to refrain is better for them.' It was also narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'What an excellent house is the bathhouse; it removes dirt and reminds one of the Fire.'
