أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ نا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ نا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ نا هُشَيْمٌ ثنا أَبُو بَلْجٍ نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاطِبٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ فَصْلٌ بَيْنَ الْحَلَالِ وَالْحَرَامِ الصَّوْتُ وَضَرْبُ الدُّفِّ فِي النِّكَاحِ 14695 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ نا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْعَنَ فَذَكَرَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَالدُّفُّ فِي النِّكَاحِ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ قَدْ زَعَمَ بَعْضُ النَّاسِ أَنَّ الدُّفَّ لُغَةً وَالْخَبَرُ بِالْفَتْحِ وَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُ الصَّوْتُ فَبَعْضُ النَّاسِ يَذْهَبُ بِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاعِ وَهَذَا خَطَأٌ وَفِيمَا مَعْنَاهُ عِنْدَنَا إِعْلَانُ النِّكَاحِ وَاضْطِرَابُ الصَّوْتِ بِهِ وَالذِّكْرُ فِي النَّاسِ وَلِذَلِكَ قَالَ عُمَرُ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Muhammad bin Hatib, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: The distinction between the lawful and the unlawful is the voice and the beating of the tambourine in marriage.
