أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَدِيبُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ثنا رَجَاءُ بْنُ مُرَجَّا الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا شَاذَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ أَخُو عَبْدَانَ ثنا عُثْمَانُ يَعْنِي أَبَاهُ ثنا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ مَرَّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَالْعَبَّاسُ ؓ بِمَجْلِسٍ مِنْ مَجَالِسِ الْأَنْصَارِ وَهُمْ يَبْكُونَ فَقَالَ مَا يُبْكِيكُمْ؟ قَالُوا مَجْلِسُنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَدَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَخَرَجَ وَقَدْ عَصَبَ رَأْسَهُ بِحَاشِيَةِ ثَوْبٍ فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ وَلَمْ يَصْعَدْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أُوصِيكُمْ بِالْأَنْصَارِ؛ فَإِنَّهُمْ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَقَدْ قَضَوَا الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ وَبَقِيَ الَّذِي لَهُمْ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Anas ibn Malik said: "Abu Bakr and al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) passed by a gathering of the Ansar who were weeping. He asked: 'What makes you weep?' They said: 'We recalled our gatherings with the Prophet (peace be upon him).' Abu Bakr entered upon the Prophet and informed him. The Prophet came out with his head wrapped in the edge of a garment and ascended the pulpit — he never ascended it again after that. He praised Allah and said: 'I commend the Ansar to you, for they are my closest confidants. They have fulfilled what was upon them, and what remains is their right. So accept from their good among them and overlook the faults of those who err.'"
