أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ أنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أنا أَبُو حَيَّانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَتَبَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ وَصِيَّتَهُ {بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ} [الفاتحة 1] هَذَا مَا أَوْصَى الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خُثَيْمٍ وَأُشْهِدُ اللهَ عَلَيْهِ وَكَفَى بِاللهِ شَهِيدًا وَجَازِيًا لِعِبَادِهِ الصَّالِحِينَ مُثِيبًا أَنِّي رَضِيتُ بِاللهِ رَبًّا وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ نَبِيًّا وَإِنِّي آمُرُ نَفْسِي وَمَنْ أَطَاعَنِي أَنْ يَعْبُدَ اللهَ فِي الْعَابِدِينَ وَيَحْمَدَهُ فِي الْحَامِدِينَ وَأَنْ يَنْصَحَ لِجَمَاعَةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Hayyan Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated from his father that al-Rabi' ibn Khuthaym wrote his bequest: 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is what al-Rabi' ibn Khuthaym has bequeathed, and I call Allah as witness - and Allah is sufficient as a witness and a rewarder of His righteous servants - that I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my Prophet. I command myself and whoever obeys me to worship Allah among the worshippers, to praise Him among those who praise, and to sincerely advise the community of Muslims.'
