أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ مَعَانِيَ هَذِهِ الْفَرَائِضِ وَأُصُولَهَا عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ وَأَمَّا التَّفْسِيرُ فَتَفْسِيرُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَلَى مَعَانِي زَيْدٍ قَالَ وَمِيرَاثُ الْجَدَّاتِ أَنَّ أُمَّ الْأُمِّ لَا تَرِثُ مَعَ الْأُمِّ شَيْئًا وَهِيَ فِيمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ يُفْرَضُ لَهَا السُّدُسُ فَرِيضَةً وَأَنَّ أُمَّ الْأَبِ لَا تَرِثُ مَعَ الْأُمِّ وَلَا مَعَ الْأَبِ شَيْئًا وَهِيَ فِيمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ يُفْرَضُ لَهَا السُّدُسُ فَرِيضَةً

Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us: Abu Abdullah ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Nasr narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Bakkar narrated to us: Ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated from his father from Kharijah ibn Zayd ibn Thabit from his father: The meanings of these laws of inheritance and their principles are from Zayd ibn Thabit, while the commentary is the interpretation of Abu al-Zinad based on the meanings of Zayd. He said: The inheritance of grandmothers: the mother's mother does not inherit alongside the mother, but in all other cases she is given one-sixth as a fixed share. The father's mother does not inherit alongside the mother or the father, but in all other cases she is given one-sixth as a fixed share.
