حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْعَجْوَةُ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ مِنْ السُّمِّ وَالْكَمْأَةُ مِنْ الْمَنِّ وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ.

'Abdullah ibn Bakr al-Sahmi told us: Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The 'ajwah date is from Paradise, and it is a cure for poison; and the truffle is from the manna, and its water is a cure for the eye."
