حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا قَالَ يُرِيدُ الْمَدِينَةَ قَالَ فَلَوْ وَجَدْتُ الظِّبَاءَ سَاكِنَةً مَا ذَعَرْتُهَا.

Isma'il told us: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ishaq told us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, who said: Abu Hurayrah said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, declared sacred what lies between its two lava plains" - meaning Medina - "so if I found the gazelles resting undisturbed there, I would not startle them."
