حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ ثُمَامَةَ بْنَ أُثَالٍ الْحَنَفِيَّ أَسْلَمَ فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُنْطَلَقَ بِهِ إِلَى حَائِطِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ فَيَغْتَسِلَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ حَسُنَ إِسْلَامُ صَاحِبِكُمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Surayj told us: 'Abdullah - that is, ibn 'Umar - told us, from Sa'id al-Maqburi, from Abu Hurayrah, that Thumamah ibn Uthal al-Hanafi accepted Islam, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered that he be taken to the orchard of Abu Talhah to wash himself. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Your companion's Islam has become good indeed."
