حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ خَيْرُكُمْ قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَلَا أَدْرِي أَذَكَرَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ يَخْلُفُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَوْمٌ يُحِبُّونَ السَّمَانَةَ وَيَشْهَدُونَ وَلَا يُسْتَشْهَدُونَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, from Abu Bishr, from Abdullah ibn Shaqiq, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "The best of you are my generation, then those who follow them" — Abu Hurayrah said: "and I do not know whether he mentioned it twice or three times — then there will come after them a people who love plumpness and who give testimony without being asked to."
