حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ فِتْيَتِي فَيَجْمَعُوا حُزَمَ الْحَطَبِ ثُمَّ آمُرَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَتُقَامَ ثُمَّ أُحَرِّقَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الصَّلَاةَ.

Waki' narrated to us: Ja'far ibn Burqan narrated to us, from Yazid ibn al-Asamm, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'I have indeed thought of ordering my young men to gather bundles of firewood, then order the prayer to be established, and then burn down [the houses] of people who do not attend the prayer.'
