حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ مَاتَ فَقَالُوا خَيْرًا وَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَبَتْ وَذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالُوا شَرًّا وَأَثْنَوْا شَرًّا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَبَتْ قَالَ أَنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibrahim ibn 'Amir, from 'Amir ibn Sa'd, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) — a man who had died was mentioned in his presence, and they spoke well of him and praised him with good words. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'It has become certain [for him].' Then another man was mentioned in his presence, and they spoke ill of him and disparaged him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'It has become certain [for him].' He said: 'You are witnesses for one another.'
