حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَرْبَعٌ فِي أُمَّتِي مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَنْ يَدَعُوهُنَّ التَّطَاعُنُ فِي الْأَنْسَابِ وَالنِّيَاحَةُ وَمُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَالْعَدْوَى الرَّجُلُ يَشْتَرِي الْبَعِيرَ الْأَجْرَبَ فَيَجْعَلُهُ فِي مِائَةِ بَعِيرٍ فَتَجْرَبُ فَمَنْ أَعْدَى الْأَوَّلَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us; and Hajjaj said: Shu'bah informed us, from Alqamah ibn Marthad, from Abu al-Rabi', from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "There are four things from the affairs of the Age of Ignorance that my nation will not abandon: taunting one another's lineages, wailing over the dead, saying 'We were given rain by such-and-such a star,' and belief in contagion - a man buys a mangy camel and puts it among a hundred camels and they all become mangy, so who infected the first one?"
