حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ وَاخْتِلَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ فَإِذَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِأَمْرٍ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ وَإِذَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ أَمْرٍ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' told us: Hammad told us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Leave me be as long as I leave you be, for those before you were destroyed only through their [excessive] questioning and their differing with their prophets. So when I command you with something, follow it as much as you are able, and when I forbid you something, avoid it."
