حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَمِّهِ قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ أَشْهَدْ لَكَ بِهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ لَوْلَا أَنْ تُعَيِّرَنِي قُرَيْشٌ لَأَقْرَرْتُ عَيْنَكَ بِهَا قَالَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { إِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِي مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ }.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Ubaid narrated to us, from Yazid, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to his uncle: "Say 'There is no god but Allah,' and I will testify on your behalf before Allah on the Day of Resurrection." He said: "Were it not that Quraysh would reproach me, I would gladden your eyes with it." So Allah the Mighty and Sublime revealed: {Indeed, you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills, and He is most knowing of those who are guided} [al-Qasas 28:56].
