حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نُهِيَ عَنْ مَيَاثِرِ الْأُرْجُوَانِ، وَلُبْسِ الْقَسِّيِّ، وَخَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَخِي يَحْيَى بْنِ سِيرِينَ فَقَالَ أَوَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ هَذَا نَعَمْ وَكِفَافِ الدِّيبَاجِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated that Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: Purple saddle cloths and wearing a blend of linen and silk and gold rings were forbidden, Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: I mentioned that to my brother Yahya (upon him be peace) bin Seereen and he said: Did you not hear this? Yes, and borders of silk brocade.
