حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةٌ دَعَا بِهَا فِي أُمَّتِهِ فَيُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ أُؤَخِّرَ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah narrate that the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Every prophet has a supplication that he invoked for his nation, and it is answered. And I wish, if Allah wills, to reserve my supplication as intercession for my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection."
