حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي أَنَسٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ رَمَضَانُ فُتِّحَتْ أَبْوَابُ الرَّحْمَةِ وَغُلِّقَتْ أَبْوَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَسُلْسِلَتْ الشَّيَاطِينُ.

Ibrahim ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Zuhri who said: Ibn Abi Anas informed me that his father narrated to him that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When Ramadan comes, the gates of mercy are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained."
