حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُنَجِّيهِ مِنْ النَّارِ إِلَّا بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنْ اللَّهِ وَفَضْلٍ قَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَا أَنْتَ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ قَالَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ يَقْبِضُهَا وَيَبْسُطُهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "None of you will enter Paradise by his deeds, nor will his deeds save him from the Fire, except by the mercy and grace of Allah." They said: Not even you, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "Not even me, unless Allah envelops me with His mercy." He said, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gestured with his hand, clenching and opening it.
