حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ ابْنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ، عَنْ جَدَّةٍ، لَهُ وَكَانَتْ سُرِّيَّةً لِعَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَتْ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا نَئُومًا وَكُنْتُ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ الْمَغْرِبَ وَعَلَيَّ ثِيَابِي نِمْتُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ فَأَنَامُ قَبْلَ الْعِشَاءِ فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَرَخَّصَ لِي.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ibn Abu Laila narrated from Ibn al-Asbahani from his grandmother, who was a concubine of Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him), that she said: `Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: I was a man who fell asleep easily, and when I had prayed Maghrib and was covered with my garment, I would sleep then - Yahya (upon him be peace) bin Sa’eed said: I would sleep before `Isha`- I asked the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about that and he granted me a concession.
