حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ هِلَالٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ حَدِيثًا جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَتَى السَّاعَةُ قَالَ فَمَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ سَمِعَ فَكَرِهَ مَا قَالَ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَلْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ حَتَّى إِذَا قَضَى حَدِيثَهُ قَالَ أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنْ السَّاعَةِ قَالَ هَا أَنَا ذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ إِذَا ضُيِّعَتْ الْأَمَانَةُ فَانْتَظِرْ السَّاعَةَ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَوْ قَالَ مَا إِضَاعَتُهَا قَالَ إِذَا تَوَسَّدَ الْأَمْرَ غَيْرُ أَهْلِهِ فَانْتَظِرْ السَّاعَةَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
While the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was sitting and speaking to people in his gathering, a Bedouin came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, when is the Hour?' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) continued speaking. Some people said he heard but disliked what was said, and others said he did not hear. When he finished his talk, he said: 'Where is the one who asked about the Hour?' He said: 'Here I am, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'When trust is lost, then expect the Hour.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how will it be lost?' He said: 'When authority is given to those who are not qualified for it, then expect the Hour.'
