حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يُتَخَتَّمَ فِي ذِهِ أَوْ ذِهْ الْوُسْطَى وَالسَّبَّابَةِ و قَالَ جَابِرٌ يَعْنِي الْجُعَفِيَّ هِيَ الْوُسْطَى لَا شَكَّ فِيهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated from `Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade wearing rings on this or this - the middle finger and the index finger, Hadrat Jabir - i.e., al-Ju`fi - said: It is the middle finger, no doubt about it.
