حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ سَأَلَ عَنْهُ فَإِنْ قِيلَ لَهُ هَدِيَّةٌ أَكَلَ وَإِنْ قِيلَ صَدَقَةٌ قَالَ كُلُوا وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Hurayrah said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was brought food from someone other than his family, he would ask about it. If he was told it was a gift, he would eat. If he was told it was charity, he would say: 'Eat' - but he would not eat."
