حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَهَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِكُمْ قَالَ وَمَا أَنْكَرْتَ مِنْ صَلَاتِي قَالَ قُلْتُ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَأَوْجَزُ قَالَ وَكَانَ قِيَامُهُ قَدْرَ مَا يَنْزِلُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ مِنْ الْمَنَارَةِ وَيَصِلُ إِلَى الصَّفِّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Khalid's father said: "I said to Abu Hurayrah: 'Is this how the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray with you?' He said: 'What did you find strange about my prayer?' I said: 'I just wanted to ask you about that.' He said: 'Yes, and more concisely.' He said: 'His standing was about as long as it took the muezzin to come down from the minaret and reach the row.'"
