حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ بْنُ هَمَّامٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هَمَّامٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يُسَمَّ خَضِرًا إِلَّا أَنَّهُ جَلَسَ عَلَى فَرْوَةٍ بَيْضَاءَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَهْتَزُّ خَضْرَاءَ الْفَرْوَةُ الْحَشِيشُ الْأَبْيَضُ وَمَا يُشْبِهُهُ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ أَظُنُّ هَذَا تَفْسِيرًا مِنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Al-Khidr was only called al-Khidr (the Green One) because he sat on a white barren patch and it turned green.' The farwah means white grass and its like. Abdullah said: I think this is an explanation from Abd al-Razzaq.
