حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَكْرَةً فَعَوَّضَهُ سِتَّ بَكَرَاتٍ فَتَسَخَّطَهُ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ فُلَانًا أَهْدَى إِلَيَّ نَاقَةً وَهِيَ نَاقَتِي أَعْرِفُهَا كَمَا أَعْرِفُ بَعْضَ أَهْلِي ذَهَبَتْ مِنِّي يَوْمَ زَغَابَاتٍ فَعَوَّضْتُهُ سِتَّ بَكَرَاتٍ فَظَلَّ سَاخِطًا لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ لَا أَقْبَلَ هَدِيَّةً إِلَّا مِنْ قُرَشِيٍّ أَوْ أَنْصَارِيٍّ أَوْ ثَقَفِيٍّ أَوْ دَوْسِيٍّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The ruler is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The man is a shepherd over his household and is responsible for his flock. The woman is a shepherd over her husband's household and children and is responsible for them. The servant is a shepherd over his master's property and is responsible for it. Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.'
